Transmitter IQ skew calibration in coherent transceivers based on DSP

Abstract

A calibration technique for transmitter in-phase/quadrature skews based on signal image spectrum measurement performed by DSP is proposed. Sub-picosecond accuracy of the technique is shown in numerical simulations and experiment.
