Abstract

Nonlinear pulse propagation in a few mode fiber is experimentally investigated, by
measuring temporal and phase responses of the output pulses by use of a frequency discriminator technique, showing that self-phase modulation, dispersion and linear mode-coupling are the dominant effects.
