    Biography

    Dimitra has joined the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Aston University in August 2020 as a Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management where she teaches various programmes in the Department of Engineering Systems & Supply Chain Management.

    Before joining Aston University, she was working as a Lecturer at Birmingham City University (2018-2020) and as a research associate at Cambridge University (the REMEDIES-RE-configuring MEDIcines End-to-end Supply project) and at Aston University  that gave her the experience of working on different supply chain projects.

    REshaping Supply CHains for Positive Social Impact (ReSChape)

    Dates: 1st October 2022 to 30th September 2025

    Sponsor: EU/Subcontracting from Aston University

    Funded: £274,000

    Project ReSChape analyses recent social, economic and environmental changes and disruptions, including the Covid-19 pandemic, and evaluates their impact on supply chains.

    ‘Scaling the UK insect protein sector: industrial research for low-emission protein production’ 

    We have successfully secured £700,729 from Innovate UK and BBSRC to fund a collaborative project ‘Scaling the UK insect protein sector: industrial research for low-emission protein production’ with Agrigrub Ltd and Beta Bugs Limited. Over the next 24 months, the project will accelerate the UK’s insect protein sector by addressing major barriers to scaling.
