    Biography

    Karen's education interests include online part-time education, how to successfuly broaden participation with foundation years, and how to support diverse students to study successfully. She also previously led the development of Aston Business School's initial apprenticeships.

    She is the Programme Director for a suite of Online, Part-Time, Business and Management MScs. Her teaching interests include Leadership, Change Leadership, Creativity, Decision Making, Motivation, and she has recently added research methods to her portfolio.

    Karen is an enthusiastic late-comer to an academic teaching career, able to bring extensive real world experience to her ABS teaching after working for over 20 years in Capgemini (a major IT and Business consulting company) up to Senior Manager level in a variety of roles such as programmer, team leader, project manager, service delivery manager (to a number of clients), bid manager, and international roles in knowledge management, and marketing management.
