After studing Electronic Engineering at Queens University, Belfast and moving to London, I realised that Accountancy was my main interest.

I qualified with ICAEW, and went into lecturing at both universities and private tuition companies specialising in professional accountancy qualifications.

Over the 30 years I have been lecturing, I have embraced the vast change in technologies used in lecture theatres.

I write all of my own lecturing and seminar material, and create quizzes on an app to test the understanding and knowledge of my students, using this to build their capabilities up to exam-standard work.

I am lead to our First Years, creating a personal tutoring system to aid their settlement into university and their understanding of what is expected of them, and importantly to make sure that they feel supported and cared for during this new stage in their lives.
