Становлення системи гарантування вкладів фізичних осіб в Україні: нормативно-правові аспекти

The historical aspect of the development of the national monetary unit and the banking system of Ukraine is presented, which as a result contributed to increasing the relevance of the insurance of citizens' deposits. The history of the establishment of the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund as an institution aimed at protecting the legitimate interests of bank depositors has been studied. Attention is focused on crisis phenomena, which result in the bankruptcy and liquidation of banks, which was accompanied by a loss of trust in them. The purpose, tasks and functions performed by the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund are indicated. The issue of the priority of meeting creditors' demands was emphasized and the types of deposits not covered by the Fund's guarantees were indicated. The current state of the legal framework of its functioning is also analyzed. According to the results of the research, the normative and legal aspects of the functioning of the Fund were revealed, and directions for further improvement of the deposit guarantee system were also proposed. The article presents the historical aspect of the national currency and banking system, which ultimately contributes to increasing the relevance of the deposit insurance system. It has been emphasized the bankruptcy and liquidation of banks, which is accompanied by a loss of confidence in them, because of the crises. It has been analyzed the aim, tasks and functions performed by the Deposit Guarantee Fund. It has been pointed out the priority, claims of creditors. We have specified types of deposits, which are not refunded by the Deposit Guarantee Fund. Also it has been analyzed the current state of the legal framework of the Fund. The study has noted areas for further improvement of the system of guaranteeing deposits in Ukraine.
