Abstract

The temperature, humidity and strain response of 3D printed optical sensing patches isreported. The sensing patches were fabricated in acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) andcontained embedded fiber Bragg gratings written in a doped silica fiber. The results show a strongresponse in the measured wavelength with respect to both humidity and temperature, which can beused to enhance the sensitivity of FBG optical sensors.
