N2 - PRINCE2 is a project management methodology and de facto standard adopted by both government and private sectors worldwide. It is a product-based planning method that divides the project into manageable stages to administer the project risk more efficiently. Managing all the stages and documentation required by the PRINCE2 is a complex, collaborative and controlled process. Therefore, it is important for project managers and the team to be able to understand the completeness of the project at a glance to arrange and utilise appropriate resources for the successful implementation of the project. One such crucial resource is a web-based and collaborative working tool for managing a PRINCE2 project. There are a number of commercial software tools available to customise and manage PRINCE2 projects on the market. However, most of these are very expensive with a significant learning curve, and generally are not affordable for a small-scale project development or training purposes. Therefore, this paper addresses this problem and proposes a web-based method for managing PRINCE2 projects using Trello. Trello is a web-based project management tool, which is inexpensive and easy to use at a small-scale, where tasks and personnel can be brought together to manage the project in an efficient way. Nevertheless, it is not a particular PRINCE2 project management tool but it can be customised to manage PRINCE2 projects and its stages with basic functionality.
