Abstract

We developed a high-power dispersion-managed thulium-doped all-fiber ring laser passively mode-locked by nonlinear polarization evolution (NPE) effect. The laser generates 142.8 fs pulses at 1950 nm central wavelength with maximum average power of 370 mW and 57.4 nm spectral FWHM corresponding to the 31 nJ pulse energy and 222 kW pulse peak power.
