Abstract

We propose optical regeneration scheme exploiting periodic bandwidth management of DM solitons, Applying semi-theoretical models available for DM solitons we optimize system parameters and demonstrate feasibility of error-free transmission over 20000km of SMF/DCF at 40Gb/s.
