Research Interests

Akram Dehnokhalaji holds a PhD in Operations Research (Applied Mathematics), and her research spans performance analytics, multicriteria decision making, and a range of optimisation techniques including integer, linear, nonlinear, and network flow programming. She has worked as an assistant professor at Kharazmi university, and as a postdoc researcher for Aalto university, school of business and published at tope rated OR journals, such as EJOR, ANNOR, JORS, OR Spectrum, NRL, etc.  Her work also integrates data mining and machine learning methods to address complex, real-world problems across sectors such as higher education, sustainability, healthcare, judicial systems, etc.

Akram is committed to research-informed teaching and supervises postgraduate projects while contributing to institutional initiatives on inclusion, research ethics, and impact and accepts PhD students.

She is the BAIS department research and enterprise lead.
