    Teaching Activity

    As a teaching focused academic I teach on a number of Bioscience modules both at UG and Master levels and across programs.

    I am the Student Engagement lead for my school with an interest in transitions through unversity in marganilised groups. I am also interested in the embedding of sustainability and sit on Aston's T&L sustainability working group.

    Research Interests

    I am intrested in cancer cachexia (weight loss) and have been investigating the role that tumour derived factors effect host metabolism. This has led to an intrest in metabolic disease in general. I am an experienced in vivo scientist with a background in Pharmacology and Biochemistry.

    I have an interest in transitioning though university putting in place methods to support students in the university journey.

    I am the Bioscience Health and Safety coordinator. Responsible for the maintaining safety throughout the school.

    I am the Student Enagement Lead and a member of the PULSE team.

    I sit on the T&L sustainability working group.
