Abstract

Rail transport is one of the world's fastest expanding sectors. Currently, there is a pressing need to develop and maintain a trained rail workforce to ensure the industry's long-term viability. Strong training plans, programs and curses are tools to develop and maintain a skilled rail staff. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the current teaching practice and methods on rail higher education in Europe.
