    Personal profile

Dr Griffiths is an internationally recognised research biochemist specialising in lipid biochemistry with 60+ research articles and over 2200 citations (H index = 27). Renowned for pioneering work on triacylglycerol and polyunsaturated fatty acid synthesis his research is now focused on two primary areas. 1.Developing microalgae for high value products and biofuels.  2. Brain neurochemistry and cognition in children with liver disease in collaboration with Life and Health Sciences (Aston) and Birmingham Childrens' Hospital.
