    Research Interests

    Optical communications, Raman amplification, Ultra-wideband transmissions, Fibre nonlinearity compensation, Fibre laser. 


    I am currently a Research Fellow at Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies (AiPT).

    • Authored/co-authored 103 papers in high-impact journals/conferences, 17 invited presentations at international conferences, and one invited book chapter.
    • PI for Royal Society International Exchange Grant and Aston Impact Fund
    • Researcher-Co-I/Co-I for UK EPSRC Standard Research Grant, China NSFC Grant, and industrial funding
    • Subcommittee Chair in TOP 2023, Co-Chair of sessions in ICTON 2018-2023, PIERS 2021-2023, and IEEE-SUM 2022, TPC member in ACP 2021
    • Guest Editors in MDPI Sensors, MDPI Photonics and MDPI Applied Sciences
    • IEEE Best Student Paper Award in ACP 2014 and 2015
    • Fellow in Advance HE
