Personal profile

Biography

I am actively involved in the ERDF Smarterials Project at Aston University, and a member of the Aston Institute of Materials Research. My research interests are in design for 3D printing and additive, 3D printing tools and technologies. I am passionate about providing the best learning and teaching experiences possible, and undertake research in the development of teaching experiences and curriculum design based upon active and problem based learning.

I regularly work with industry on live projects in engineering simulation, product development and 3D printing through consultation via the ERDF Smarterials project, supervising student projects via the Mechanical Engineering and Design Industry Club, and trhough serving as academic knowledgebase for several Knowledge Transfer Partnership projects.
