    Biography

Andrew has been a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Aston Business School since June 2019. His research interests lie in the areas of services marketing and research methodology. Andrew is an expert in the measurement of service quality, customer satisfaction, and a range of other marketing metrics.

Andrew's teaching is focused in the area of Market Research, with the overall aim of dissuading people of the view that statistics are difficult to understand and implement. He is also a strong supporter of enhancing business's ability to use market research to support their operations.

He is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society (CMRS), for whom he serves as a Joint Chief Examiner, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He is a member of the editorial review board of European Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice and reviews for the Journal of Business Research and the British Journal of Management. He has presented his work at a variety of national and international conferences.

His work has appeared in Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, International Marketing Review, and others. With Prof Nick Lee, he edited the Marketing volume of the 2014 Wiley Encyclopaedia of Management.

Andrew was a finalist for the Best Paper Award at the 2001 Academy of Marketing Annual Conference and the 2007 Postgraduate Research Prize at Loughborough University. In 2011, Andrew was awarded the Outstanding Reviewer Award from the European Journal of Marketing, and in 2014 he received the Dean's Award for Innovation in Teaching. This was followed by an Aston Astonishing Academics Award in 2016 for Most Effective Use of Feedback in ABS. While at Southampton, Andrew picked up a Dean's Teaching Award (top 10% of student feedback) and a Faculty Staff Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution.

In his spare time, Andrew is an avid follower of the NBA and, to a lesser extent, the NFL.
